The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

Flying Solo

The boys are three weeks now and we are officially on our own. Well, at least for a week or so! Our wonderful full time help from our parents has helped us adjust to life with two newborns. We have been so spoiled these past three weeks with all kinds of help with cooking, cleaning, organizing, diapering, feeding and burping the babies! The last three tasks seem like a full time job in themselves. Thank you so much to Janet, Tom, and my mom and dad for taking such good care of us and serving us in this way. We enjoyed having you in our home loving on us and the babies!

We have had two days now just us and seem to be doing pretty good. We're still tired, but expect that to continue for the next couple of months (or years?) The boys are getting better with the night time routine and sleeping about four hours between middle of the night feedings. I am fortunate to have two sweet babies who don't fuss very much and allow me to nap a little during the day. I spend a lot of time during the day nursing the boys and that's about all we do! But then one of them looks at me, or smiles in his sleep and it makes it all worth it. They are so precious.

Big times ahead!!! I wish 5 hours of sleep for you, and a magic bottle washing fairy to appear at your house :)

4 hours is fantastic! When you get to 5 you feel like a new woman. To get that long of a stretch this early on is a great sign of good things to come! God is so good to you:)
