The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

Happy Easter!

For the boys' first Easter, we packed up and drove to Atlanta to be with my family. It was our first roadtrip home. After what seemed like days of washing, making lists and packing- we made it home on Friday in time for dinner! If you know Andrew and I, this is a huge feat. We never get to Atlanta on a Friday before 10:00! That, of course, was pre-babies. We were so excited to take the boys to Pops and Gram's house for an overnight stay. We also were thrilled to get some extra rest while we were there thanks to my sweet parents who got up with the babies and looked after them so we could nap.

Saturday we were able to introduce Logan and Will to their great uncle and aunt- my uncle Mark and aunt Penny. They drove up for the afternoon to spend time with us, as well as my granny coming down from Chattanooga for the day. It was fun to have them meet our babies. We also got a quick visit from aunt Amie and uncle Russ, it was Russ' first time meeting the boys too. You can see from the pics that Logan and Will already love their new family!

Sunday we got up early to start getting ready for church and to celebrate that He is Risen! It took several hours to get babies fed (twice), mommy and daddy ready, babies dressed, loaded up and on the road again. But it was all worth it! Mom and Dad couldn't wait to show off their grandbabies to the kids in the children's ministry and all their friends at church. Will and Logan were our little celebrity babies for the day. I was a little nervous about how they would do in church, this was our first time. But they did great, I only had to take Logan out once to change his diaper, Will slept the entire time. They handled all the excitement and attention quite well and were so ready for their bottle in the car on the way home. We got some cute photos of them in their little Easter outfits. We capped off a perfect Easter day with a wonderful home cooked meal (thanks mom) and a nap before we had to drive back to Birmingham. Will slept on uncle Tyler's chest and Logan napped with Pops while mommy and daddy slept for almost two hours! Sooo nice...

Overall, the boys did really well on their first trip. We had to stop each way to do a bottle in the car, but other than that they slept the whole way. Andrew and I had 6 hours of quiet and much needed adult conversation. We hope that you all had a wonderful Easter weekend as well!

Your post brought back memories of our first trip to Knoxville with one baby!! You are super woman. It does take a lot of planning, washing, packing, thinking about meal times/sleep times to get to your destination.
It looks like you had a wonderful Easter. I know your family was thrilled to have the babies in town to show off.
Talk to you soon:)
