Week of Firsts

The babies have been having lots of "firsts" over the past week. Last weekend, Andrew's grandmother came with Andy's parents to visit all of her grands and great-grands. This was a special treat to see Gigi, as she lives in Pennsylvania and we don't get to see her very often. She was thrilled to come see everyone, and we were thrilled to introduce Logan and Will to their Gigi. She just loved and kissed on the babies and took turns holding each of them, then together. What a sweet memory!

Sunday, after our company left, we took the babies on their first visit to Target. This was manageable because daddy was along to help and we left right before fussy time (aka time for nap!) When we got home the boys took a good nap, then it was time to try out our new baby pool! Yes, another first- playing in the whale baby pool in the backyard. The water wasn't quite warm enough, so Andrew hooked the hose up to the hot water heater to make it more pleasant.

We rounded out an exciting weekend with the babies' first "meal." We gave them a little rice cereal after their evening feeding. What a mess they made, but I think they loved the new taste and texture... made for some cute photos and video of them smacking their lips! It's hard to believe my little babies are getting so big and already onto cereal.

Tuesday the boys had their first trip to the dentist (well, actually I had the appointment.) They accompanied me to get my teeth cleaned since I didn't have a babysitter and Andrew was at a meeting. I was nervous about it, but the receptionist kept them company in the waiting room and loved fussing over them! They definitely get lots of attention every where we go. Speaking of teeth- over the past week they have had their hands in their mouths constantly, with lots of extra drool. It looks like they're both about to get their first tooth! Another first coming soon...

What fun a baby pool can be! While they're napping it makes a great lay out pool for mommy. It's a much cooler way to work on your tan.
They just can't be old enough to be eating rice cereal, already?? Time sure does fly by. They are definitely looking older! Precious, precious boys! Enjoy your week of firsts. What a special time!
