Happy Memorial Day

Is it summer yet? It feels like it around here! We've been enjoying some baby pool time most days to keep cool. The boys LOVE splashing in their little pool and getting in and out, in and out. It's fun to watch them "mow" the lawn so seriously with their mowers and then make a big splash. It's how we plan to survive the Alabama summer!

Grammie and Pops came to spend memorial day weekend with us. It was a busy one with events scheduled at Woodrow Hall. So the company and help was much appreciated. The boys got to spend lots of one on one time with them and loved it!! Grammie and Pops were very popular passing out watermelon while we played outside. A great place to eat the messy fruit- in the water!

The boys are sixteen months now and settling right into toddlerhood. They are busy, busy- practically running, climbing up onto furniture, swiping stuff off of counter tops and pretty much getting into everything. It is so fun watching them discover the world around them and soak it all in. Everything new is such a delight!

They both are really into cars and trucks and point them out whenever they see them saying "ca" and "uck." Logan is starting to enjoy gravity (aka throwing things) while Will is my super climber. Thankfully we are not trying to climb out of the cribs just yet. Our biggest issue is playing well together and giving each other personal space. The boys now have "room time" where they get to play independently. They are doing well with this and Will especially seems to like his alone time. Mommy is TIRED at the end of the day but loving every minute of it. I think so far this is my favorite stage because we interact so much and their personalities are really showing.

So I won't forget- here are my sixteen month favorites:
Logan giving kisses
Will snuggling and hugging
Dancing, turning around while making sure you are watching
Playing in the pool and backyard
"Loving" the cat (laying on the cat)
Love of cars and trucks
Waving and squealing at neighbors' dogs
Screeching and "speaking" their own language
Holding hands through the cribs
Can't get enough watermelon
Will putting his hands up and saying "huh?"
Logan trying to pose/smile for the camera
Both love to pick out their own books at night
Trying to eat with a fork and spoon
"Driving" the laundry baskets like they are cars
Love putting on their shoes (esp new ones)
Stats from today's dr. visit:
Logan 25lbs 7oz (55%) and 32 3/4 in tall (85%)
Will 25lbs and 10oz (60%) and 33 1/4 in tall (92%)

Logan and Will sound so much like Cole! He "drives" anything that he can move, and I've often wondered if he might overdose on watermelon! I love this new title photo, and the boys look SO grown up!
