Playing Hooky

Daddy surprised us by coming back home on Monday to have a fun day with us! Playing hooky doesn't happen too often when you're the boss- so we were thrilled. After naps (for all) we took the boys to a nearby pond for their first fishing trip.

I'm not sure we can actually call this a fishing "trip"- it was more like an "attempt" than anything! No fish were caught but the boys had a blast slapping the water with the poles. We probably scared them all away! Oh well, we soaked up the sunshine and special time with Daddy and made a great memory!
