The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

Rainy Day Fun

We were a little sad to wake up to a day full of rain at the beach... But- that didn't slow us down from finding something fun to do!  The boys thought driving over the big bridge was part of our "exploring" on the way to our rainy day activity.  Love their little imaginations, even the mundane can be exciting.  We found a bowling alley nearby complete with arcade and all my boys were happy.
Shooting some hoops and race car driving with Daddy
Making sure to get the right ball... Although I think the 15 pounder was for Daddy.  My strong guys stuck with a 6 pound ball that was just their size.
We tried it this way for a while, but after a few balls had to be manually retrieved (half way down the lane,) we opted for the incline.  They did much better with the assistance of gravity to scoot the ball to the end of the lane.
 Logan loving it!
Snuggle time while Mommy watches the bowlers...
Not sure what Will's thinking in this pic...
Logan checking out his score on the computer screen- the animated pins falling down were a good visual for them.
We enjoyed our bowling outing and trip to the souvenir shop.  We probably spent 20 minutes picking out sea shells. Next time, we will give them a few dollars to spend prior to entering the store.  Learned a lesson on that one.  Thankfully, we were able to talk them out of the $5 a piece shells and they settled on several inexpensive beauties.  I think their favorite part was walking through the enormous shark mouth the enter the store... oh the things that excite four year-olds.  They still talk about that shark!

After nap, we woke up to cloudy skies and no more rain!  So, of course, we spent the rest of the afternoon and early evening in the sand.

 Working hard!

 Little boys LOVE sticks...
