Logan and Will started playing soccer this spring! Soccer shots is an organization that goes around to area preschools and teaches little ones the basic skills and aspects of the game. We joined up with some buddies and the boys have LOVED it!! We head down to the athletic field on Friday afternoons and my guys run off some energy while momma sits and watches. Worth. Every. Penny.
Above- Will (L) shows off his soccer ball and Logan (R) ready to play!
Our sweet friend Tanner who also participates
Team huddle with coach Jacob (note the large number of girls on the team! Ha)
Tanner listening to coach Andrew- using her serious stance
Learning to dribble the ball
Logan sitting sideline with friend Addison
My guys were thrilled about the orange jerseys and were all about guarding the goal. We're learning that playing defense doesn't necessarily mean sitting inside the goal!
L and W ask me every time I pick them up from MDO if it is soccer day. They look forward to it all week and especially love that they have "soccer shorts" and special snacks before they play. I love that they are working on listening to their coach, playing well with their teammates, learning a character word each week as well as learning a new sport. Oh, and did I mention- burning off some energy while someone else wrangles and directs?! Seriously, priceless! Welcome to the world of "organized" sports Morrow boys. Looking forward to trying out baseball next... they're already asking about it!
