The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

4 Weeks Old

Growing, growing!  Caleb's one month check-up went well.  Thankfully, there was only one shot and a heel prick. This guy is now 10 lbs 9oz (75%) and 22 1/2 inches long (75%).  He's on a variable 2-3 hour feeding schedule and up once a night, usually around 2-3am.  Favorite activities include eating, sleeping and snuggling.  Caleb is rooming in with us in the pack n play to make middle of the night and early am feedings easier.  I love having him so close by so I can easily check on him.  Of course this means I'm sleeping much lighter. Still, I am cherishing this time having a little baby within arms reach knowing it is probably the last time.
We are working on establishing a good daytime/nighttime routine but following Caleb's lead on feedings during the day. He naps mostly in the pack n play, but will also nap in the Moses basket and in his swing.  I am starting to see more regularity in his feedings and consistency in the time between each one.  This momma loves a routine and thrives on it!! Praying it will work as well with Caleb as it did with Will and Logan.
Big brothers are a big help.  They are still in the phase where they want to hold him all the time and fight over whose turn it is. They are quick to grab the diaper caddy for me or the boppy and love helping to give the occasional bottle.  Will giving C his bottle:
With baby's arrival we're having to find a new normal for the entire family.  Big brothers love having him around but aren't especially loving the increased at-home time.  We've been fortunate to have two grandma's taking turns having special time with W and L.  Also, some special "dates" with our favorite babysitters have helped- Chick Fil A, summer kids series at the movie theatre, pool and ice cream!  They are enjoying the extra attention and time to do big boy activities.  Mommy is thankful for even small breaks in the week!
