The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

Fall Ball

The boys decided they wanted to play t-ball at the park this fall.  So, we rounded up all the essential ball gear (a lot!) and are ready to go!  I think they were more excited about the gear (bag, hat, helmet, bat, glove, cleats, etc...) than actually playing, ha!  Here's my big boys heading out for their first practice:

First practice, meeting their teammates and Coach Matt:

Fall ball is the perfect introduction to the game- one practice/one game per week.  Everyone gets to try all the positions, everyone gets to bat, there's no outs or keeping score (for most of us anyway!)  It is a laid back way to learn the fundamentals.  We had some sweet kids on the team and Andrew enjoyed helping with several other dads at practice and games.  The boys learned a lot and had a lot of fun. They loved hitting and running, playing with the dirt, and of course, snacks after games!  The park also has a playground right next to their field.  As soon as practice and games were over, they would race off to play.  We were closing down the park most nights and had to leave because they were turning off the lights!

I loved watching them make new friends and have extra time with Daddy. Learning new skills, listening to other adults, getting exercise and energy out are all perks of organized sports!  We all enjoyed this first season of t-ball.
