Happy 6 Months!!

Wow- one half of a year has already gone by! It seems like just last month we brought the boys home from the hospital, but so much has already changed since then. I believe it now when people say- "Enjoy it, it goes by so fast!" We really have been enjoying all that we can. Summer is flying by and the boys are getting so big. They had their 6 month well baby visit last week and the doctor is pleased with their growth and development. My itty-bitty six pounders are now 16lbs 14oz (Logan) and 16lbs 7oz (Will)- both around 27 inches long. That's 10 pounds and 7 inches of growth since birth. I'm amazed!

Logan and Will-
You continue to take my breath away. Your daddy and I love you more each day and still stare at you and think- you are such miracles! You are so much fun- you're really starting to interact with one another. Mostly you grab for each other's hands or feet to put in your mouth, or roll on top of the other (by accident). We laugh and say that wrestling matches are just starting! Sometimes you flat out giggle at one another and it is the cutest thing. I had a "where did my babies go?" moment last week when you both were holding your own bottles for a minute or two. It was nice, mommy could take a drink as well!

Logan- you are loving your toes right now. I have to work hard to get you not to put them up near your mouth while we're trying to feed you in the highchair. You are the first one up every morning (now around 7:15 or 7:30) and sometimes have a harder time going to sleep. But, you're still being good to mommy and daddy because you know how to go to sleep on your own and it doesn't take too long. You have an infectious giggle and will laugh at kisses, zerberts and tickles. You are still a great eater and love your rice cereal (and I think you like carrots too!) You like to touch mommy and daddy's face with your hands and grab on. Your hair is growing in, and like your baby hair, sticks straight up- it's too cute. You still love bath time and let's just say you've got the Michael Jackson move down pat. (Mommy tries to distract you from this!) I've enjoyed some time rocking you this past month and listening to you breathe into my ear all snuggled into my neck. It's heaven! You are my sweetie pie!

Will- you are my laid back babe most of the time. You also have found your toes, but your hands still command more of your attention. You've started a new noise- sort of screeching. You like to hear yourself make the noise. You are quite the eater as well, often the first to finish your cereal and want more. Your smile lights up your whole face and you giggle easily, especially after your naps and with close up time with mommy and daddy. You go down for naps and bedtime so easily- thank you! You are getting more hair, little by little. I think it's going to be light brown/dark blonde. You like to squeeze mommy's arm and grab onto my clothes when I hold you. You are an awesome snuggler and fit right into our arms. You are so precious!

The Lord knew what we needed in giving us two sweet little boys! We are so blessed and so thankful for you both!
Love, Mommy

This new stage of growth has been fun but with any change comes new challenges. Mainly, feedings are a little more involved now with milk feedings and solids. They are now doing cereal 3x a day and starting vegetables. We are working hard on "hands in your lap, not in your mouth!" We've come up with a dinner-time song to help them remember to keep the hands where they belong. This is going to take a lot of consistency and work on my part, when divided between two. Oh what messes they make! Let's just say- we started carrots this weekend and I'm already out of stain spray. Other than that, they are awesome- sleep well, happy when awake, and overall just good babies. We're having so much fun!

Precious! I hope that the shots went o.k. and no tears were shed by YOU!! Nothing stains like carrots, raspberries and blueberries!
Add a scoop of Oxy to each load..it always does the trick.
