The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

Saying Goodbye to Summer...

Why is it that no matter how old you are, summer just seems to fly by? When we were kids, those three precious months between school days would come and go in a blink. Now that we have kids, and we're trying to enjoy every lazy summer day with them- same thing! Although, we did not have too many lazy days this season. Between me working a little extra, play dates and lots of pool time, we were not home very much. Keeping cool and active was our agenda- as my busy boys have lots of energy to burn. The pool was a perfect solution and we spent many weekend days there together as a family. We met Daddy there after work on Friday and swam until it was dark. The boys loved night swimming, and of course, getting an ice cream pool side before heading home. (I still have not taken any pics there- hope to catch a few in our last week of summer!)

Our favorite summer memories were our trips to the beach with both sets of grandparents, staying up later, fun time with cousins and of course- ice cream! I've included some pics that Tom (Pappy) took when we were in Gulf Shores. The "ice cream pics" are a Morrow tradition and they take them of all their grand kids when they are two years old. As we say good-bye to summer and head into fall (my absolute favorite time of year), I wanted to remember the enjoyment on their sweet, sticky faces! Now, if we could just get a little cooler weather our way, that would be perfect.
