There is a special bond between brothers and an even more special bond between twins. The sweetness that exists between them is so fun to watch. Now, don't get me wrong- these moments are sporadic and intermingled with rough housing and fighting over toys on any given day! But- the friendship and bond that is growing between them is precious. I wanted to take a minute to document some of the sweet things...
Looking at turtles together in the pond at Hilton Head
My favorite things of late:
Will patting Logan when he was sick telling him to "feel, well"
Will putting his arms around Logan saying "k" repeatedly when there was thunder
Logan taking Will by the hand to walk together in the parking lot at the pool
Logan picking out a "special" car to give to Will recently when he was upset
Giving hugs and kisses at bed time
Logan always reminds me to say prayers with Will after I pray with him
Talking, screeching, laughing at each other over the ends of their cribs (often keeping each other awake!)
Will calls Logan- "Goya" not sure how he came up with this.... Logan calls Will by name and calls himself "Lo-yo"
Their language is exploding! I am so thankful... this has been something we have been working on for a while. The boys started seeing a speech therapist when they turned two. We are thrilled at their progress with new words popping out daily and the usage of phrases and short sentences to express their thoughts. Thankfully, they haven't developed a twin language as of yet... although sometimes they do play jabber to each other and crack themselves up! It's funny how you wait for them to really talk to you and carry on a conversation, and then once it happens- it's like- ok, yes, Mommy heard you for the hundredth time! Regardless of how many times I get told something... it is still music to my (trying to be patient) ears.
So thankful for these two little guys and the best buds they are becoming! One things for sure- they can mess with each other, but they will have each other's back one day.
